Arrangements

Arrangements in the Lozenge T. are the cycles experienced by the Dreamer and Projections. They progress through phases which mirror the intensity of various stages of sleep.

Arrangement Phases:

NREM-like Phases:

These typically mark the beginning or calmer periods of a scenario.

  • Early NREM: The dream often starts here. The environment can be hazy, ill-defined, or shift subtly. Logic is present but may be simple or associative. Interactions are often simple, and vividness and emotional intensity are lower.
  • Deep NREM: This phase brings a sense of stability. The dreamscape feels less active, with minimal overt events or complex interactions. Projections might seem passive or engaged in routine. Vividness and emotional charge are low.

REM-like Phases:

These phases become more common and longer as a scenario (or “night”) progresses.

  • Characteristics: The dream becomes vivid, bizarre, emotional, and strongly narrative or story-like, sometimes hallucinatory. The environment is highly volatile and suggestion-based; physical laws can bend, and settings transform readily. Complex plots, action sequences, and intense social or emotional drama are common. Projections often get caught up in a state of flow, completely immersed in the action.
